DAY 1: Sets Seasons 1, 2 & 3; Lallybroch and the Duke of Sandringham’s House among others!
Regions: Edinburgh & The Lothians
Ready? Well, let’s enjoy! We’re going to start strong. From early morning, we’ll take you to one of the most hidden closes or corners of Scotland’s beautiful and romantic capital: Edinburgh. Remember Jamie’s print shop in Season 3? Well, we’re taking you right there, where the exteriors were filmed in one of the oldest areas of the famous Royal Mile. We will also see the exterior of Holyrood Palace, connected to the series as the palace where Prince Bonnie Charlie Stuart established his court for a few weeks prior to the Jacobite Rising. The house of the malevolent Duke of Sandringham? We’ll visit it! We explore this palace where the interiors were filmed, as well as Lallybroch! Yes, the dream home-castle of Jamie and Claire.
That’s not all for today; as with all our programs, this one is intense, packed with wonderful and exciting content every day. We’ll take you to Blackness Castle, the set for Fort William. As soon as you enter, you’ll feel strange sensations, as the place where Jamie was fictionally flogged has actually served as a prison and fortress throughout its history. Think you’ve seen enough for today? Not yet—there are still two highlights left. We’ll visit the romantic train station where Claire and Frank say goodbye during the war, and even more imposing: the castle of Mary Stuart, “Queen of Scots.” We’ll tell you her tragic story in this location used as the set for Wentworth Prison, where Jamie was held prisoner in the first season. Finally, we’ll rest and dine in a bucolic and beautiful Scottish village with its lovely gardens in bloom!

DAY 2: Seasons 1 & 2; The Mackenzie Castle and the Paris Infirmary among others!
Regions: Stirlingshire & Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park!
A second wonderful day! A diversity of views and content. Here we go! We’ll have our full and delicious Scottish breakfast and porridge to put ourselves in the shoes of the brave Scottish Highlanders and face everything ahead of us like the protagonists of this precious adventure. Today we head into the Trossachs National Park and its wild, wonderful landscapes. Along the way, we’ll see beautiful Highland cows and the stunning Loch Katrine, surrounded by beautiful hills where Roger Mackenzie enjoyed the peace and quiet in Season 2.
We’ll also visit the L’Hôpital des Anges set in Paris—but no, it’s right here in Scotland! We’ll show it to you during our visit to the Glasgow sets, including Harvard University, which was actually filmed at the beautiful University of Glasgow. Remember the scene where Frank proposes to Claire? That’s in Glasgow too; we’ll relive those moments in George Square. To end this day of Outlander contrasts, we’ll sleep on the shores of the largest lake in the UK: in Luss, the bucolic village on the banks of Loch Lomond. Can you imagine a more romantic setting?

DAY 3: Fort William, Loch Ness, and Inverness!
Regions: Glen Coe, Caledonian Canal, and Lochaber!
By our third day, we’ve already relived and visited most of the major Outlander locations, but there are still several left, along with Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. Where did Prince Bonnie Charlie Stuart land from France? Where is Inverness really located? Do you want to try your luck with the standing stones that transported Claire to 18th-century Scotland? And while we’re at it, shall we look for the Loch Ness Monster?
We’ll do all of that today, plus visit Fort William, the UK’s outdoor sports hub and home to the highest mountain: Ben Nevis. Today we’ll travel one of the most beautiful and scenic routes in all of Scotland. From the most dramatic valley, the impressive Glen Coe—which appears in the opening credits of every Outlander episode and has been a set for Harry Potter, Braveheart, Rob Roy, 007, and Highlander—to the capital of the Highlands. We’ll enjoy unprecedented views of mountains dotted with beautiful lochs. We’ll show you the remains of the Fort William fortress, a dark prison in its time; we’ll visit Glenfinnan, where Prince Charlie landed and where the famous Harry Potter Viaduct is located; and we’ll look for the famous Nessie at the foot of Fort Augustus. We’ll see the lochs connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the cold North Sea in Inverness and “assault” the famous Urquhart Castle. We sleep in Inverness, looking out the window for Claire just like Jamie!

DAY 4: The Standing Stones, Culloden Battlefield, and Whisky, among others!
Regions: Inverness-shire, Cairngorms National Park, and the Kingdom of Fife!
Our fourth, full, and final tour day! We are certain you are amazed by everything we’ve seen: the most important Outlander locations, movie landscapes, and the history of the country voted the most beautiful in the world in 2017. By now, you feel like part of the story. But… there’s more!
Is there anything more iconic in Outlander than the standing stones that make Claire travel through time and the somber Culloden Moor battlefield? We’re taking you there today! After visiting Fort William and Inverness yesterday, today represents the pinnacle of any Outlander journey. We’ll visit the Bronze Age standing stones that inspired author Diana Gabaldon on the outskirts of Inverness. Remember the beautiful gardens of the Palace of Versailles where Jamie has a chilling encounter with Captain Randall? We’re taking you to those too.
Furthermore, we cannot complete an Outlander tour without visiting a magnificent Scotch Whisky distillery, as the “water of life” is constantly referenced in the series. We’ll also visit Pitlochry, one of the most beautiful Victorian villages in Scotland. The set for Inverness? It’s not in the capital itself, but in the lovely village of Falkland, where we’ll take you, as well as the picturesque Culross, which appears numerous times in Seasons 1 & 2 as the village of Cranesmuir.
It’s been a pleasure making this dream come true for you. We’re sure you won’t wake up from this dream for a long, long time! See you again—perhaps on another journey through time!

The two options are subject to availability and options of the beautiful towns to visit. Especially in wonderful Scotland, our B&B and Guest House selection are at the same level of quality and comfort within our excellent selection, being able to be even more comfortable than a hotel, although a hotel offers more services such as restaurant or bar. Depending on the availability on the dates of the contracted services, the accommodation may be located at a greater or lesser distance from the local centre or even in the closest locations with availability, without thereby stopping any content of the program or itinerary, therefore, the longer the reservation is in advance, the better the conditions and situation of the accommodation, as is usual in the tourism sector due to the supply, demand and dates.
